Hotel and Tourism Institute (HTI) (酒店及旅遊學院) is a member institution of Vocational Training Council (VTC) to provide vocational and professional education and training for the hospitality industry. It was founded in 1985 as Hospitality Industry Training and Development Centre (HITDC) (旅遊服務業培訓發展中心)[1]. In September 2015, HITDC was renamed HTI[2]. HTI offers full-time and part-time diploma and certificate programmes targeting young people at Secondary 3 level or above as well as in-service personnel. [3]

HITDC of the VTC celebrated the opening of its T-Hotel, the first training hotel in Hong Kong to be operated by students.

HTI provides professional training to secondary school leavers interested in the hospitality industry. Its newly opened The T Hotel enables trainees to receive professional training in a real life working environment. [4]
