Workshop at Fuk Wah Street Government Secondary Modern School in 1962

Kowloon Technical School (九龍工業學校) was considered as a sister school of Victoria Technical School. In 1961, the school was set up by Mr. K.C. Lau, the former principal of the Victoria Technical School and became the founded headmaster of the Kowloon Technical School. The school has shared the same motto -Thorough (貫徹始終) as the Victoria Technical School. The school was originally called Sham Shui Po Technical School (深水埗工業學校) and renamed to current name as proposed by Mr. Lau. The school was the first technical school in Kowloon. In 1964, it merged with {Fuk Wah Street Secondary Modern School} (福華街實用中學).

This school provided general subjects to students. Mathematics and technical subjects were the focus in the early days. [1][2]
