Kwun Tong Technical Institute was established in 1975. It was renamed as the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Kwun Tong) (香港專業教育學院(觀塘); IVE (Kwun Tong)) in 1999. It is one of the member institutions of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) providing vocational education to post-secondary students.
