Morrison Hill Technical Institute
The Governor, Sir David Trench (second right), opened the Morrison Hill Technical Institute

Morrison Hill Technical Institute (MHTI) (摩利臣山工業學院) was officially opened in 12 October 1970 by the Governor the late Sir David Trench. The institute offered technician education and technical teacher training. In 1974, technical teacher training courses was transferred away to the Technical Teachers College.[1]

Dr. Deric Daniel WATERS was appointed as founding Principal of Morrison Hill Technical Institute in July 1968, more than one year before it opened.

It was renamed to Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Morrison Hill) in 1999.
