Tang King Po School (鄧鏡波學校) was founded by the Salesians (慈幼會) in 1953 with a donation from businessman and philanthropist Mr. Tang King Po 鄧鏡波先生. Rev. Fr Godfrey Roozen, S.D.B. 羅志賢神父 (1952-1954) was the first Father Rector of the School. [1]

When the school started in 1953, it took over printing classes from St. Louis Industrial School and the shoemaking and tailoring sections from Aberdeen Trade School.

As stated in the School Development Plan,[2] the School will implement a 6-year development plan by stage to accomplish targets in promoting their intellectual education, their religious education, their moral and civic education, their vocational education and their activity education.
