Tuen Mun Technical Institute was opened in 1986. It was renamed as the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tuen Mun) (香港專業教育學院(屯門); IVE (Tuen Mun)) in 1999. It is one of the member institutions of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) providing vocational education to post-secondary students.
