Tung Wah College (TWC) (東華學院) is a self-financing tertiary education institution established by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) which is the oldest and largest charitable organisation in Hong Kong providing a wide range of medical and health, education and community services to fulfil the needs of the society. The College went through the Institutional Review (IR) by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) in 2010 and is registered under the Post-Secondary College Ordinance (Cap. 320) as an approved self-financing degree granting institution. [1]

Taking advantage of TWGHs’ strengths and expertise in medical and health, education, and social services etc., TWC aspires to become a renowned privately-funded university, recognized for high quality programmes focusing on practical application for both for-profit and non-profit organisations, while nurturing youngsters to be caring citizens with a sense of social responsibility.[1]

Currently the College offers degree and sub-degree programmes in diverse disciplines (including Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Accounting, Business, Entrepreneurship, Health Service Management, Forensic Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiation Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and Applied Gerontology etc.) through four Schools, namely School of Arts and Humanities, School of Business, School of Medical and Health Sciences, and School of Nursing.[1]
