Far East Flying Training School

The Far East Flying Training School (遠東飛行訓練學校[1]) commenced the training of pilots and engineers for civil aviation in 1934. It was a private institution sited at Kai Tak Airport.[2]
In 1962, the training facilities and a number of aircraft were destroyed because of Typhoon Wanda. Flying instruction then came to a halt. Eventually, the school was resurrected by the newly formed Aero Club of Hong Kong in 1964. As the school was no longer involved in flying training, it was renamed The Far East Flying and Technical School.[3]
