Hong Kong Technical Teachers’ College (香港工商師範學院) was established in 1974. The technical teacher training courses were transferred from Morrison Hill Technical Institute to Technical Teachers College when it was established.[1]

In 1994, The Hong Kong Institute of Education was established through the merger of Technical Teachers College and other 4 teacher education institutes[2]. It was renamed as the Education University of Hong Kong (香港教育大學) in 2016.
