Hong Kong Technical Teachers’ College (香港工商師範學院) was established in 1974. The technical teacher training courses were transferred from Morrison Hill Technical Institute to Hong Kong Technical Teachers' College when it was established.[1] The office was relocated to 373 Queens Road East, Wanchai[2] but classes were continue being offered at the campus of Morrison Hill Technical Institute (the "Red Brick House"). Some classes were also conducted at the Victoria Technical School.

In 1994, The Hong Kong Institute of Education was established through the merger of Hong Kong Technical Teachers' College and other 4 teacher education institutes[3]. It was renamed to the Education University of Hong Kong (香港教育大學) in 2016.
